Proper Glassware

Using proper glassware for your craft beer is one of the most important aspects of drinking the beer and enjoying it. Like wine, beer also needs to breathe. Pouring your beer in a glass allows the excess carbonation the escape the brew, while giving you a nice full head to look at. The head doesn’t only look pretty, it is also an indication that the excess CO2 will not expand in your stomach, which is the main reason why people may feel “full” after consumption.

Yes, there are times in which we don’t have access to a nice glass, but there are many different alternatives one may use to simulate this experience. The alternatives are countless – plastic cups, solo cups, Styrofoam cups, etc. Anything you can pour your brew into will allow you to truly enjoy your beer without any repercussions.

Please forward this information to your friends who still insist that craft beer isn’t for them because of the “filling” aspect. It’s not the beer itself; it’s the foamy CO2 carbonation.

Cheers!
