Anaheim, California - Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout - 12.5% ABV - This decadent BBA imperial stout poured an opaque, oily-black color, with a small layer of frothy brown foam that leaves sticky lacing along the glass. The nose is loaded with rich aromas of coffee, bourbon, oak, chocolate fudge, vanilla, and maple syrup that blend together flawlessly to create a memorable experience with each sniff. The mouth was very similar to the nose, but it was more coffee forward, with a back end that resembled a bourbon soaked, chocolate covered marshmallow. The mouthfeel was nice and thick, with a velvet-like finish that lingers on the palate for an exceptional amount of time. I first had Ground State on tap at @bottlelogicbrewing, and I found that some of the flavors were muddled, but out of the bottle, it is a thing of beauty. 99/100

Berkeley, California - American Wild Ale - 5.7% ABV - This delicious sour poured a hazy, bright golden color with a small white head that dissipated quickly. The nose was very inviting, featuring aromas of freshly squeezed limes, lactic acid, oak barrel, and bready malts. The mouth was very similar to the nose, having a strong presence of citrus, salt, subtle tequila, oak, and sharp acidity. The mouthfeel was light bodied, with an enamel ripping finish that left you salivating for more. I was worried at first that this would have too much of a tequila presence, but it was just the right amount. Cheers to another job well done by @therarebarrel. 90/100
