![]() Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout - 14.2% ABV - Enjoyed this for my birthday tonight - it certainly fit the occasion. It poured a motor-oil black with no head, just a thin layer of brown foam. The nose was quite complex; it features roasted malts, caramel, toffee nut, bourbon, as well as some biscuit aromas. The taste was great. Very similar to the nose, but it featured a sweet, malty-scotch flavor that changed as it warmed up. The mouth was thick, almost like cough syrup, and also had a creamy characteristic. It feels silky in the mouth and leaves a nice, long finish. Cheers! 4.9/5
