![]() Placentia, California - BA Imperial Porter - 14.40% ABV - This fantastic collaboration poured an opaque black color with a small layer of brown foam that dissipates immediately. The nose was phenomenal; aromas of robust espresso, vanilla beans, chocolate fudge, charred oak, and cherries create a wonderful scent that tickles the senses. The mouth was my favorite part; flavors of milk chocolate, fresh coffee, vanilla, cherries, and caramel malts are big up front, with a slight bourbon undertone. Rue D'Floyd has a heavy bodied mouthfeel, with a long lasting finish that coats the palate and leaves you wanting more. This is certainly one of my favorite beers, and it is a shame that it has a lactobacillus infection. I didn't taste the infection on tap at The Bruery, but there is a slight tart presence on the front of the tongue when I enjoyed it out of the bottle. If you get the chance to try this beast, please do before it's too late. Thank you for sharing Trevor, cheers! @trevorlovesbeer 10/10 (On Tap) 9.7/10 (From Bottle)
