![]() Santa Rosa, California - Belgian Pale Ale - 5.15% ABV - This Belgian Blonde Ale poured a golden straw color with a fluffy white head that dissipates quickly and leaves light lacing on the glass. The nose featured distinct aromas of Belgian yeast, apples, cracked wheat, pale malts, oranges, and light spices. Redemption was solid; flavors of lemon peel, earthy grass, pears, bananas, and bready malts come together to create a balanced, crisp taste. The mouthfeel was light bodied, with a smooth, balanced, and refreshing finish that's quite sessionable. Cheers to a solid Pale by Russian River! 8.7/10

![]() Paso Robles, California - Blonde Ale - 4.7% ABV - This ale poured a clear, straw-gold color with a small bubbly white head that dissipated immediately. The nose featured aromas of grass, herbs, and bready malts. The mouth was very light - subtle floral and herbaceous flavors are prevalent up front, followed by a bready malt backbone. The mouthfeel is very light, with a crisp and clean finish. I'm not the biggest fan of 805, nor the Blonde Ale style itself, but this would go great on a hot summer day for those who are fond of Blondes. Cheers! 6.8/10 |
