![]() San Diego, California - Imperial Red Ale - 10.0% ABV - This big ale poured a deep ruby red color with a frothy , off-white head. Distinct aromas of caramel malt, sweet toffee, herbaceous and floral hop notes, and a hint of rye come together nicely on the nose. The Tongue Buckler had a slight boozy front with flavors of sweet caramel, citrus hops, and floral notes, while having piney undertone. This brew had a medium-plus mouth feel with a long finish. This brew didn't meet my expectations, but it did deliver. Cheers! 3.9/5
