Torrance, CA - Triple IPA - 10.1% ABV - This was an absolute treat. Biggie x3 poured a murky, golden straw color with a small fluffy white head that left sticky lacing along the glass. The nose featured aromas of Orange, Vanilla, Pineapple, and guava, which emulated the smell of a creamsicle. The flavor profile was very similar to the nose, while having a bready finish with no ability to detect any alcohol in it's contents. The mouthfeel was thick and creamy like a fruit smoothie, which is guaranteed to leave a smile on your face. This is the best Triple IPA in the world; thank you Monkish. 100/100

![]() Auburn, California - Triple IPA - 11.3% ABV - This hop-full beast poured a clear copper color with a fizzy white head. Intense hops are big upfront on the nose, including aromas of citrus, grapefruit, pineapple, resinous pine, and sweet malts on the back end. The mouth features a slight alcohol presence, which isn't much considering the 11.3% ABV, while having dank hop flavors of citrus, mango, pine, and honey. This was truly an interesting beer as it comes off as super hoppy, then balances out towards the end with candied malts. The mouth feel is medium-plus, with a surprisingly smooth finish. Knee Deep does it again with another killer TIPA. It's not quite as good as their Simtra, but it still delivers. There certainly is no Hop Shortage here, Cheers! 9.4/10 ![]() Auburn, California - Triple IPA - 11.25% ABV - This monster of an ale poured a slightly hazy, golden color with a fluffy white head. Aromas of big tropical fruits are prevalent on the front, bringing scents of kiwi, pineapple, and guava, with an undertone of toasted caramel. The mouth featured hop forward flavors of pine, grapefruit, pineapple, and peaches, while having a balanced malt flavor. This brew had a medium-plus mouth feel with a fruity, balanced finish. I've seen Simtra for a while now and I'm glad that I picked this one up. 4.8/5 ![]() Pliny The Younger, Pliny The Elder, Cuvée de Tomme, and Damnation | Santa Rosa, California - Triple IPA - 11.0% ABV - This highly coveted ale poured a clear, golden-amber color with a small layer off white foam for the head. Aromas of big hops, grapefruit, pine, distinct tropical fruits, as well as hints of alcohol compose those nose. It tastes very similar to Pliny The Elder, but surpassed it's accomplice with a strong hop finish. Other flavors, such as grapefruit, peach, and sweet pine balance out those hops to give it a great balanced taste. The mouth feel is medium, with a beautiful silky finish. The Younger was truly a great experience in which I shared with great friends. This brew lives up to it's hype and also surpasses the Elder, in which I had the opportunity to taste them side-by-side. Cheers! 100/100 |
