![]() Denver, Colorado - Imperial Stout - 9.50% ABV - This big imperial stout poured a syrupy, pitch black color, with a frothy café brown head that has great viscosity. The nose featured intense aromas of oak chips, cocoa nibs, vanilla, spices, and bitter malts. The mouth was solid; flavors of chocolate, espresso, oak, deep roasted malts, sweet molasses, and bitter hops create a dessert-like taste. The mouthfeel was full-bodied, with a silky, tannic finish that got better as it warmed. I personally like the Espresso variant better, but maybe it's just because I love coffee. Cheers to another great brew by Great Divide and have a Happy Easter! 9.1/10
