Chocolate Rain (2013) - The Bruery

Picture
Placentia, California - BA Imperial Stout with Vanilla Beans and Cocoa Nibs - 18.00% ABV - This monster-like beer poured a syrupy black color, with a small, viscous layer of brown foam that lines the glass. The nose featured decadent aromas of dark chocolate, hints of espresso, vanilla beans, oak, and sweet malts, while having a boozy undertone. The mouth was unbelievable; the front was full of rich chocolate and vanilla, roasted malts, and sweet molasses, while having a backbone of coffee and boozy oak on the finish. Chocolate Rain had a heavy bodied mouthfeel, almost syrupy, while having a rich and lingering finish that went down like a dessert. This is the only variant of Black Tuesday that I've tried, and I love it. I can't wait to get my hands on some Mocha Wednesday. Cheers to an amazing beer by The Bruery. 10/10
