Farmer's Reserve Blackberry - Almanac Brewing Company

Picture
San Francisco, California - American Wild Ale - 7.00% ABV - This tart-full ale poured a murky, magenta-orange color with no head (perhaps the cap was damaged). The nose featured distinct sour aromas of tart grapes, lemon juice, and dark fruits, with subtle hints of funky yeast. The mouth features a good puckering sourness with flavors of lemons, apples, supple blackberries, and yeast, while having wine undertones. The mouthfeel is light and highly acidic with a sweet, zesty finish. Almanac continues to impress me with their excellent reserve sours. Cheers! 9.4/10
