![]() Waterbury, VT - Imperial/Double IPA - 8.0% ABV - I enjoyed half of this tallboy from the can, just as the brewer suggests, and half from a glass. It poured a hazy straw-orange color with a luscious white head. The nose featured wonderful aromas of orange peel, mango, grapefruit, a hint of pine, and sweet malts. The taste blew the top off of my head - featured flavors of mango, orange, lemon zest, and grapefruit are big up front, with a hint of pine and sweet malts on the back end to balance everything out. The mouthfeel was medium bodied, with a velvety-crisp finish, that felt amazing as it went down. Heady Topper lives up to all of the hype that I've heard about it, as well as exceeding my expectations. This brew right here is better than Pliny, cheers! Hands down the best DIPA I've ever had. 5/5
