![]() Claremont, California - Rye IPA - 6.7% ABV - This Rye IPA poured a hazy copper-orange color, with a frothy white head that leaves beautiful lacing on the glass as it dissipates. The nose featured rye spice, orange zest, and lemongrass up front, with a sweet malty backbone. The mouth is very balanced - the rye and the sweet malts come together nicely to complement the bitter and citrusy back end. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied, with a clean and crisp finish that keeps you wanting more. Claremont Craft Ales is a local, up and coming brewery, that has just started canning their flagship brew. I can't wait till they release some of their other beers, for I see a bright future for this young brewery. Cheers! 8.6/10
