![]() Grand Rapids, Michigan - BA Imperial Stout - 11.20% ABV - This highly acclaimed Imperial Stout poured an opaque black color with a small layer of brown foam that lined the tip of the glass. The nose featured decadent aromas of dark chocolate, fresh ground espresso, maple syrup, vanilla beans, and oak, while having a charred malt characteristic. The mouth was great; flavors of bourbon and chocolate are prevalent up front, with a back-end full of vanilla, oak, leather, and sweet molasses. KBS has a medium-plus bodied mouthfeel, with a smooth, creamy, and flavorful finish that goes down as a treat. This was a great BA Imperial Stout, but in my opinion, Black Note and BCBS outshines this one. Cheers! 9.6/10
