Picture
Escondido, California - Amber/Red Ale - 4.4% ABV - This ale poured a deep copper color with a frothy off-white head. The nose featured aromas of resinous pine, lemon grass, hints of caramel, and earthy malts. Flavors of grass, herbaceous pine, hints of citrusy grapefruit, and bready malts come together lightly on the mouth. The mouthfeel is medium-bodied, with a medium-minus, clean finish. The Levitation Ale is an easy drinker that goes well with some burgers on a hot summer day. I recommend it to those who don't like much of a bite, for it is a very subtle and balanced brew. Cheers! 8.3/10
