Stochasticity Project - Grapefruit Slam IPA - Stone Brewing Company

Picture
Escondido, California - Imperial/Double IPA - 8.2% ABV - This slammin' DIPA poured a clear, golden orange color with a fluffy white head. The nose featured aromas of heavy grapefruit, bready malts, pineapple, and some caramel notes. The grapefruit slam was extremely bitter tasting with a huge grapefruit front that just slaps you in the face. On the back end you get more grapefruit, resinous pine, and pineapple. The mouth has a medium-minus feel with a bitter crisp finish. The Slam is a solid brew, but it may be a bit "in-your-face" for some people to enjoy - very bitter. Cheers! 3.9/5
